'Ammonite'
 
An original, hand burnished linocut print that is titled and signed. It is printed with gold, traditional oil based block printing ink onto high quality, Indigo printmaking paper measuring 30 x 30cm.
 
The subtle shimmer of the gold ink creates a striking effect and has a contemporary feel on an intricate design.
 
Ammonites are a well known fossil and easily recognised by their coiled shell. They first evolved around 240 million years ago and became a very successful group of animals. They died out around the same time as the dinosaurs about 65 million years ago.
 
This is an unframed print and is mounted to 40 X 40cm.
